The Fragger Android Game is an action adventure level based game. Fragger has over 370 levels and 12 worlds. All of the level’s missions are to destroy all the enemy targets using a limited amount of ammunition. In this games case, it is all grenades! If you have ever played Angry Birds, you will quickly be able to grasp the concept of firing the grenades. A large arrow helps you aim and determine the appropriate strength to throw each grenade. Pressing and maintaining contact with your screen allows you to change the angle of your toss, and the game allows you to use any part of the screen that is most convenient as not to block your viewing angle of the targets.
The graphics on this Android game are more than satisfactory and the physics engine is accurate and effective. Some point, pull, and shoot games really reduce their long-term playability by not feeling accurate or satisfying enough. Fragger does not have that problem; even after hundreds of levels it still feels fresh and effective. If you get stuck on a particular level or scenario, there is a fixed menue on the right of the screen, which you can use to pause, reset, or even view possible working solutions. If you are truly stuck, there is an option to simply skip the level altogether. Unfortunately, some options such as skipping and option viewing have limited uses before you must purchase in game points to unlock that ability again.
This is the initial loaded screen. You can choose to play immediately, view high scores, enter the in game store to purchase additional abilities with real world cash, or change options.
This is a level selection screen. There are 370 levels to work your way through.
A screen cap of the in-game play. There is a fixed options menu on the right side of the screen to view your current ammo, pause the game, or reset and try again. The large arrow depicted shows your angle of throwing and the filling color shows how powerful the throw will be. Sometimes you need to float a grenade in softly, and others there is a need for pooowwwweeeeerrrr!
Good:
- 370 Levels to play through.
- Aesthetically pleasing cartoon style graphics.
- The Physics-engine is consistent and accurate which increases long term enjoyment
- Options to save you from difficult levels and frustration
Bad:
- Loading the large level packs is data intensive, best saved for when you are near wifi.
- Not a particularly original idea for a game.
Conclusion: The Fragger Android Game is another rehash of Angry Birds, with a more realistic (albeit cartoony) depiction. If you like the concept of throwing grenades and are an Angry Birds – style launching projectile fan, then you will enjoy this game!
