If you are already interested in American space exploration, or just want to learn more about the universe, this NASA app is for you. The main screen for the NASA Android app has links to images, videos, tweets, mission information, NASA TV, and even more information.
You can search for information on past, current, and future missions. Some of the past/current mission information includes the Hubble Space Telescope, the International Space Station, The Curiosity and Discovery Mars Rovers, and much more. You can view beautiful high definition pictures of vast celestial bodies and mind blowing space phenomenon. NASA uploads an Image of the Day (IOTD) every day with a caption. There are more than 1700 images to view and learn about. There is a wealth of NASA videos and TV series but unfortunately you cannot view it directly in-app. To view NASA TV shows like ISS Update, NASA Gallery, or This Week @ NASA, or to watch the many smaller videos, you must go to youtube or on your browser. You can of course use this app to find ot what interests you the most though!
Good:

Bad:
- Unable to stream NASA TV from the app, you must go to youtube or NASA’s browser site.
- Large sized pictures require lots of data. Best for use when wifi is available.
These are some screen caps of the images you can view on the app. There are many, many different types of pictures and videos showing the multitudes of missions that NASA runs. The captions and descriptions are very helpful for new viewers, but packed with enough real information for even the most die-hard space enthusiast.
Conclusion: If you are at all interested in space, NASA, or think you might be, then this app is for you. This is a great app for parents or teachers to show children pictures of space.
